The application is now open to apply for the MEXT 2023 Scholarship for Teacher Training. Japan is well known internationally for its educational system. Its educational institutes are ranked in the top 100 list. Teachers from all over the world come to Japan to improve their teaching skills.

This is great news for Pakistani teachers, as they can now improve their skills in Japanese institutes through the MEXT 2023 Teacher Training Scholarship Program. The Japanese government is covering the costs of these scholarship programs. Teachers who are teaching primary and secondary classes can participate in this 18-month training period. The Monbukagakusho are overlooking this scholarship program.

About MEXT Teacher Scholarship

The government of Japan offers a scholarship to Pakistani teachers every year who wish to conduct analysis on school education under the Monbukagakusho MEXT Scholarship Program. This is a non-degree course, but you will get a certification after finishing the required course at the University of Japan.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be under 35 years of age at the time of application
  • Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a university or teacher training institute. 5 years of educational experience is also required.
  • You must be available for 18 months to complete their training period in Japan. Interested candidates must be willing to learn the Japanese language because some universities offer courses in the Japanese language.

How to Apply

  • The following must be addressed on the top of the letter: Public Affairs Section, Embassy of Japan, Diplomatic Enclave 1, and Islamabad.
  • The application form is to be fulfilled truthfully, with which a letter of recommendation is to be attached
  • A form is available from the Japanese embassy.
  • A statement of purpose.
  • Medical forms and additional documents vary from university to university.
  • Applicants are to mark “MEXT Training Scholarship” at the top of the letter.
